On last month in Bhubaneshwar ,Indira Gandhi National open university(IGNOU) has brought up with a new course "Water hygiene course ". This course has been introduced because we have always seen that not only in cities but also in villages water problem is the main agenda such as water pipe problem, Hand pump establishment problem etc.
To over come this problem IGNOU starts a new course for those who can do this certified course in water sanitation and maintenance as suggested by the director of IGNOU Mr. S.K.Tripathy .The IITs will be the work centres where the students will be trained on the technical aspects of the job.
Course Duration:-6 months.
Eligibility:-10 pass or fail.

it's great to know that we are having this course....As i am working with CHAI Project Darjeeling where we are working mainly in rural areas on Water and Sanitation/Hygiene and Behavour change...This will be best for course for interested persons like us... Hope the course is there in darjeeling centre.... Thank You!
