This resource will suggest you what to do and what not in creating password.

Don’t

Don’t use passwords or use IDs that include personal information like your birth date or other personal number.

Don’t use your mother’s maiden name as a security question. Pick something more obscure, like your childhood pet’s name.

Don’t leave passwords in plain view on your monitor .

Don’t use the same password for multiple sites. If crooks crack your Twitter account, they can access your bank account too.

Do’s

Do create passwords that are at least 8 to 16 characters long, with a mix of capital letters, numbers and symbols. They are harder to crack.

Do use random pattern codes to create passwords. For example: - pick two compute keys 4 and 7. Type straight down the keyboard from 4 until you reach the bottom (the letter V), then type one character to the left. Then do the same for 7, this time using all caps. You now have a meaningless password that reads 4rfvc7UJMN, but all you have to remember is 47 or use the first letter of each word in a line from a favorite song or poem.

Do change passwords often, about once a month.

Do hold your cursor over an unknown link before clicking on it and look at the bottom of your web browser. It will show where the link is actually taking you to.

Do note the wording before the last period of a URL such as .com, .org, .edu, etc. . It’s what counts. So paypal.com is legitimate, but paypal.1234.com is fake.

Do look out for links which the @ symbol. Browsers ignore everything to the left of it, so paypal@1234.com is not a PayPal site.

Do watch for deliberate misspellings like paypol.com that are designed to trick you into clicking.

Water hygiene course

On last month in Bhubaneshwar ,Indira Gandhi National open university(IGNOU) has brought up with a new course "Water hygiene course ". This course has been introduced because we have always seen that not only in cities but also in villages water problem is the main agenda such as water pipe problem, Hand pump establishment problem etc.

To over come this problem IGNOU starts a new course for those who can do this certified course in water sanitation and maintenance as suggested by the director of IGNOU Mr. S.K.Tripathy .The IITs will be the work centres where the students will be trained on the technical aspects of the job.

Windows 8

After windows 7 its time for windows 8 which is going to release in July 11, 2011. Oho you just have to wait for it as Microsoft is working on it. The work of windows 8 was started before windows 7 establish its status in computer world.

In Microsoft's Professional Developers Conference had declared that windows 8 is going to release around 2012. It is not yet publically. According to Microsoft employee windows 8 will need support of Windows Server 2012 that will start on July 2, 2012.

The experience is very new and fascinating. The browser is available for Windows XP/ Vista / 7 operating system. The features that make the browser happening because of its new updates that is EPIC VERSION 1.1.

The changes that have newly introduced to Epic are:-

• Epic is now updated to epic 1.1 as Mozilla is updated to 3.6.9 .

• In the Epic browser the sidebar is no longer seen in Popups. So, enjoy the sidebar will not disturb you again while you are working on net.
• Problems with address bar flickering have now been solved.
• Most of time when you have low connection the web page report as it has been crashed and please open new again but this problem is fixed in the new version so it protects you from crash.
• Wordpress Interaction with Indic Transliteration. You can now safely create blog posts at WordPress without problems from Epic or the in-built Indic language tool.
